THE GOOD FIGHT

Soon after one of our partners accepted the Lord, she found her home burglarized. Her immediate reaction was to cry out, "Father, aren't You my Protector? I am Your child. This isn't supposed to happen to me!"

Needless to say, her feelings about God were shattered that day, but what about her faith? It remained steadfast, so eventually, through faith, her feelings were restored.

One struggle you may be facing tonight is the discrepancy between your feelings and faith. Nearly every week someone asks me, "Sister Cerullo, I know I'm supposed to have faith, but I just can't feel it. Then there are times when something will feel right, but God's Word says no! What do I do?"

Know that there is a battle going on. Your flesh wants your feelings to win; God wants faith to win. This is what Paul called the "fight of faith":

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called...I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (1 Timothy 6:12 and 2 Timothy 4:7, NKJV).

If you are awake tonight "fighting the good fight" between your feelings and faith, let faith win. By doing so you will give yourself a headstart in the race for eternal life...
